Where We Fall

51AsQoi8vYL._SX331_BO1,204,203,200_ My review:Thank to NETGALLEY and LAKE UNION PUBLISHING for the chance to read and give an honest review.
I loved this novel, the authors writing style drew me right into the story. I enjoyed getting to know the characters, I came to care for them all.
Abby, Lauren and Ryan are college friends, Ryan and Lauren are so much in love, Abby is their best friend, it was always the three of them. Abby has always secretly has a crush on Ryan, and when Lauren leaves on a project, Ryan’s father passes away, and Abby is there to console him, well one thing leads to another and before you know it they are married and have a daughter.
This novel is about three friends, one leaves, and the other two begin a life together, it is not a smooth married life, but it is a settled married life. Ryan is a high school coach and enjoys coaching
young boys and helping mold them into young gentlemen. Abby has mental issues, she is living with extreme quilt, she suffers from depression, low self esteem, she even becomes afraid to leave home. This means that a lot of the time Ryan is both mother and father to Julianna. Ryan and Julianna have a very close relationship, whereas Julianna is angry at her mom most of the time.
Ryan is such a nice guy, he can never see himself leaving Abby, although he knows their
marriage is not what it should be. Ryan has always been under the impression that Lauren just deserted him, however he has always truly been in love with her.
Lauren left to learn under a renowned photographer, but her and Abby share a huge secret that would change everything. When Lauren comes back, things come out and everything becomes very clear to everyone.
There are a few different stories here, Abby and Ryan and then Lauren, there is also the story of Julianna and her first love E J, Ryan becomes very involved and you realize what a great father should be.
This novel is all about relationships, young love, settled love, family drama, violence, parenthood,
mental illness, therapy, sacrifice, forgiveness, but most of starting over and living your life to the fullest.
