Letting In Light….

I really enjoyed this story, the writing was good , the author drew you right into the lives of  her characters, Ellie is so likable, Will seems to be somewhat of a challenge, but I liked his character, he was complex, hard to read at first. Finn, Will’s brother is full of life, but both men carry a heavy burden and Ellie is right in the middle.
Ellie has a huge break-up and her friends offer her room and board at a country cottage. This is where Will comes into the story, he’s moody, grumpy, and does not appear to like other human beings. But Ellie starts to wear him down, little by little.
This novel is wonderful reading, there is one woman and two brothers, Ellie is mending a
broken heart. Will is in pain, something horrible happened to him and his way of dealing with it is to shut everyone in society out. He is in so much pain, I felt so sad for him. His brother, Finn, is keeping a big secret from his brother and everyone around him.
The three become friends and more, they come up with a great plan that involves the entire community, it is a brilliant plan.
Letting In Light is a novel full of pain, full of love, full of secrets, self preservation, forgiveness, love, family, and new beginnings.

I have read and enjoyed the authors other novels, so I was glad to receive this one. I like her writing style, she has each character telling their story, the past and the present.
This is the story of six college friends, Penn State, they promise to stay in touch after
graduation, but life sends them each on their own path. They all attend Catherine and Owen’s wedding, however something happens and they lose touch. They all have some type of dysfunction, which is the way everyone’s life is.
Then they all receive letters from Bea’s attorney, they are all to meet at the house they shared in college. There are stories to tell, secrets to reveal.
This is a great beach read, a complex story with relatable characters, the ending was somewhat of
a surprise.
If you liked the authors other novel’s , you will like this one. There is friendship, illness, college fun, secrets, love, family, and forgiveness.
